In 2024, OpenNol achieved an unprecedented leap, sending a fresh shockwave through the domestic career services market. Armed with AI-based services, the company announced a phenomenal performance, recording 50.7 billion won in sales amidst a challenging recruitment environment, a remarkable 101% growth compared to the previous year. This figure far exceeded market expectations, overachieving the 2025 sales target of 36.9 billion won, which was predicted at the time of its 2023 listing, by a significant 40%. Kwon In-taek, CEO of OpenNol, explained that this growth was a result of simultaneously satisfying job seekers' demand for competency enhancement and companies' need to secure verified talent. In particular, the expansion of online and offline education services for employment and entrepreneurship, along with the strong performance of the display business unit, including digital signage, served as key drivers for sales growth. However, operating profit remained at around 30 million won due to aggressive investment in expanding R&D personnel for strengthening AI services. Nevertheless, thanks to the deferred corporate tax effect, net profit for the period recorded a solid 1.9 billion won, a 37% increase compared to the previous year. Throughout 2024, OpenNol accelerated the enhancement of its services, launching AI-based job experience services such as 'Experience Record' and 'Portfolio Diagnosis,' and introducing 'Partner-type Mini-Internships.' For its future growth strategy, the company is focusing on the rapidly changing demographic structure. It has identified trends such as the increase in the number of foreign residents in Korea (1.561 million in 2024, a 9.1% increase year-on-year) and the high employment rate among seniors aged 60 and over (in the 45% range). Accordingly, OpenNol plans to build a platform to support foreign residents' adaptation to Korea and job placement, and to expand life-cycle design services for seniors, including job transition training and job matching. CEO Kwon stated his ambition, saying, "Investment in talent to strengthen AI service competitiveness is an indispensable factor," and "We will continuously improve our revenue structure by expanding the beneficiaries of our business to include foreign residents and seniors." Through these innovative strategies, OpenNol is expected to open new horizons in the career services market, keeping pace with a changing era.
