Innovative company MPAG, a leader in the global music tech sector, has been recognized for its technological prowess and growth potential by being named to the prestigious 'Top 50 SME R&D Achievements for 2025,' hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups of the Republic of Korea.
This selection was made through a rigorous screening process across four key areas: technology commercialization, strategic technology, overcoming limitations/re-challenge, and public innovation. It is particularly significant that MPAG was chosen as an outstanding company in the commercialization sector, having overcome an unprecedented competition ratio of 7.2:1 this year. This is a result of demonstrating excellent commercialization performance and technological competitiveness through SME R&D projects.
Through this achievement, MPAG will receive comprehensive support, including not only the Minister's Commendation from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups but also investment attraction support and participation in global exhibitions. Leveraging this opportunity, the company plans to accelerate the expansion into overseas markets for its recently launched AI music education app, 'mymusic5,' and further enhance the user experience.
MPAG's technological prowess stems from core original technologies developed in its independent corporate research institute. Representative technologies include the precise real-time analysis of pitch, duration, and dynamics, and the accurate identification of musical notes through sound melody analysis. Furthermore, in collaboration with the Music and Audio Computing Lab (MACLab) at KAIST, MPAG is continuously dedicated to innovative technology development, including joint research on an AI sheet music system based on performance difficulty.
Jeong In-seo, CEO of MPAG, stated, "This selection is a great achievement that nationally recognizes MPAG's unique technological capabilities." He added, "We will actively utilize government R&D programs like TIPS and Post-TIPS to accelerate technological advancement and establish ourselves as a true leader in the global music tech market."
MPAG's core service, 'mymusic5,' is an innovative AI-powered music education platform. It precisely determines pitch accuracy by analyzing a performer's sound in real-time and offers smart features such as automatically turning sheet music pages according to the performance flow, thereby opening new horizons in music learning.
