Jeon Hwa-sung, CEO of CNT Tech, successfully concluded the much-anticipated 1000th special episode of his 'Startup Morning Coffee' broadcast. This program, which has steadily continued since January 2021, introducing investment and incubated startups every morning at 8:40 AM, further enhanced its significance today with a special live broadcast lasting 4 hours and 20 minutes.
This 1000th special episode highlighted the achievements of 233 companies that successfully matched with TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) among the approximately 500 early-stage companies that CNT Tech has invested in over time. Notably, CNT Tech set an all-time record by securing 79 TIPS matches last year alone, boasting unparalleled achievements in the investment industry. Since transitioning to an exclusive TIPS operating organization in 2019, it has operated both general and deep-tech TIPS programs, leading to the selection of a cumulative 233 companies for TIPS by 2024.
The TIPS program is a crucial opportunity for startups to secure stable R&D research funds and effectively elevate their technological capabilities. Companies selected for TIPS were able to strengthen their technological prowess and secure market competitiveness with the support of CNT Tech. Among the introduced companies are Sunjin RCS and Sloke (General TIPS), Mass Adoption and Bience (Deep Tech) from 2024, as well as Uniyuni and Twinnano from 2023. Besides these, innovative startups have consistently received TIPS support since 2016.
CEO Jeon Hwa-sung not only directly participates as the representative of the investment company during each TIPS presentation but also deeply contemplates and strives to highlight each company's strengths to secure selection. He stated, "I hope that many startups will secure technological capabilities and gain stable growth opportunities through government support programs like TIPS," and affirmed that he would continue to actively support early-stage companies with high future growth potential to successfully leap forward using TIPS as a stepping stone. In this way, 'Startup Morning Coffee' has established itself as an important platform that goes beyond simple information delivery, positively impacting the Korean startup ecosystem.
