## IDeas Successfully Concludes 'Handmade Award 2025', Shaping the Future of the Handicraft Industry
IDeas, the nation's largest handmade commerce platform, successfully hosted the 'Handmade Award 2025' at Plenty Convention, Gangnam, Seoul, on the 5th, highlighting artists who have contributed to the development of the handicraft industry and encouraging their creative passion. This year's awards ceremony, now in its 9th year, was a great success, with approximately 300 artists and customers attending under the slogan 'Possible Because We're Together.'
At the awards ceremony, 71 artists received awards across a total of 21 categories. Notably, artist 'Jeongindang,' who showcased unique sensibilities in the handmade dessert field, garnered attention by winning the Grand Prize. Artist Jeongindang quickly captured the latest food trends and received high praise from the judges for innovative works that reinterpreted them with their own unique individuality.
CEO Kim Dong-hwan, who leads IDeas, shared the platform's key business achievements and future vision through a presentation that day. IDeas successfully pursued intellectual property (IP) collaborations with leading brands such as Disney, Sanrio, and Ottogi Ramyeon, introducing a cumulative total of 156 new works to the market. This goes beyond traditional handicraft areas, proving the possibility of integration with various cultural contents, and setting a precedent for creating new markets.
Furthermore, IDeas announced that it has achieved a cumulative 1 billion won in support funds for intangible heritage preservation and the craft industry, established using its own membership revenue. This is an important indicator showing that the platform's growth goes beyond mere commercial success, contributing to the sustainable development of the entire craft ecosystem.
CEO Kim Dong-hwan emphasized that "the growth of artists is precisely the growth of IDeas," promising to be a steadfast partner so that artists can freely demonstrate their capabilities in a stable creative environment and take another leap forward through various collaboration opportunities. Through this award, IDeas has boosted the morale of handicraft artists and reconfirmed the endless potential of the domestic handmade industry.
