Food Promotion Agency Accelerates Business Innovation with Platform Piloting
The 'Digital Platform-Based Joint Technology Development Commercialization Support' project, which ran for five months from last June under the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and conducted by the Korea Food Industry Cluster Promotion Agency (hereinafter referred to as KFIP), has successfully concluded. This project provided practical support for food manufacturing companies to plan new products, optimize production processes, and enhance marketing. Centering on 'Food e-Eum' and the 'Digital Food Information Platform' operated by KFIP, CNT Tech utilized platform data to identify promising manufacturers, connect experts, and analyze the latest industry trends, thereby providing customized solutions for businesses. Among over 200 food companies, after a rigorous evaluation, Cheongchun F&B, The Bread Blue, and Dietlog Food were ultimately selected for support, each writing their own success story. First, Cheongchun F&B, with the platform's assistance during the development of their new product 'Kimchi Mala Skewers,' secured the stability of their seasonings and sauces and successfully found a packaging manufacturer to establish an OEM-based standard manual. At the COEX Food Week pop-up store, they generated approximately 20 million won in sales in just four days, proving the new product's excellent market potential. The Bread Blue, a vegan bakery specialist, introduced two new products: low-sugar whole wheat bread and bagels, utilizing functional ingredients such as high protein, low sugar, and dietary fiber. Through the platform, they were efficiently matched with ingredient manufacturers and automation equipment companies, allowing them to rapidly carry out R&D processes such as nutritional analysis and physical property testing. Lastly, Dietlog Food established a HACCP-based manufacturing and distribution system for producing sugar-free vegan desserts. Through expert mentoring, they made a wise decision to switch to a strategy of utilizing OEM HACCP facilities instead of investing in their own facilities, significantly increasing cost efficiency. As Park Jin-wan, CEO of Cheongchun F&B, mentioned, the fact that "manufacturer, ingredient supplier, and expert matching was swiftly achieved through this project, enabling the standardization of product taste and quality and entry into successful commercialization" clearly demonstrates the innovative changes that digital platforms will bring to the food industry. In this way, KFIP is laying a solid foundation for domestic food manufacturing companies to grow faster and strengthen their competitiveness through digital transformation.
