K-Beauty platform Hwahae, actively performing on the global stage! Following the success of its English version, it is directly targeting the Japanese market with the full-scale launch of its Japanese version.
Birdview, the operator of beauty platform Hwahae, is accelerating its global expansion by fully launching a Japanese version just three months after launching the global web English version. Notably, the English version surpassed 100,000 monthly active users (MAU) in just two months, proving explosive growth.
At the heart of this were Japanese users who showed keen interest in K-Beauty. On Japan's X (formerly Twitter), the nearly one million monthly mentions of K-Beauty clearly demonstrates the local consumers' enthusiasm. Accordingly, Hwahae, not missing this trend, has embarked on conquering the Japanese market with the launch of its Japanese version.
Hwahae Global Web provides category-specific rankings, Hwahae Awards, reviews, and ingredient information without requiring login. It has maximized international accessibility by utilizing a large language model (LLM) specialized in cosmetic translation to translate approximately 9 million real user reviews into English and Japanese. Through this, Hwahae plans to strengthen the link that allows Japanese consumers to easily explore K-Beauty information and lead to purchases.
Furthermore, Hwahae will this year introduce overseas influencer and brand collaboration marketing services and expand its global B2B business, actively supporting the successful overseas expansion of domestic K-Beauty brands.
