Episodun Transitions to 24/7 Online English Service

The global video English conversation platform, Episoden, has expanded its service operating hours to a 24-hour system. Episoden announced that starting from the 6th, it has eliminated the previous system maintenance hours and has begun providing a 24/7 real-time conversation service. Until now, Episoden had been suspending operations for about 40 minutes daily to distribute services and stabilize servers. The company explained that it has been enhancing its infrastructure in response to the recent increase in global users, thereby establishing a technical environment capable of uninterrupted operation. With this measure, users from 170 countries around the world can now access the platform regardless of time zones. Kim Jin-hong, a backend developer at Episoden, stated, "We have extended the operating hours following user requests and internal technical preparations," adding, "We improved the service distribution system to create an environment free from time constraints for access." Meanwhile, launched in 2021, Episoden is a platform that allows users worldwide to engage in video English conversations through a web and mobile app. Users must go through a pre-interview process to participate, with an average matching wait time of less than 2 minutes. Episoden secured 4.5 billion won in Series A investment led by Coupang in August 2024.
