DoHands' Pumgo Cuts 1.5 Days Off Lead Time with Separate Kanto/Kansai Delivery in Japan

Dohands' 'Poomgo,' which is opening new horizons in fulfillment services, has brought innovation to Japan's delivery system. To maximize the competitiveness of 'Guaranteed 5-day delivery to Japan,' a core global delivery service, the separate Kanto and Kansai delivery system in Japan has been fully expanded and introduced to all fulfillment centers. This groundbreaking measure is based on successful beta tests conducted at some centers since last September. With this system expansion, the delivery lead time to Japan's Kansai region has been shortened by up to 1.5 days, making delivery possible within an average of 3 days. Dohands explained that they have built a robust infrastructure that can stably respond even if shipping volumes surge during large-scale promotional periods like Qoo10 Japan's 'Megawari.' Under the existing system, there was an inefficiency where all shipments were dispatched en masse to the Kanto region, and then additional time was consumed in the process of moving to the Kansai region after customs clearance. To resolve this issue, Dohands independently developed a feature that automatically classifies regions based on delivery cut-off times and postal codes, and applied it to their system. This significantly improved classification accuracy, fundamentally blocked the possibility of human error, and maximized efficiency. Poomgo had already proven its global fulfillment capabilities last June by being selected as Qoo10 Japan's official delivery partner and joining as an EFA (eBay Fulfillment Alliance) partner. Park Chan-jae, CEO of Dohands, emphasized that "the introduction of separate Kanto and Kansai delivery has enabled stable 5-day delivery guarantees regardless of region, leading to very high satisfaction among brand companies." Furthermore, he announced the ambitious goal of "solidifying our position as a true logistics partner that achieves guaranteed 3-day delivery from Korea to Japan through continuous service advancement."
