Delightroom's app ad monetization solution 'DARO', famous for its global sleep-wake solution 'Alarmy', is drawing the industry's attention by achieving remarkable results within one year of its launch. DARO achieved sales of 9 billion KRW, an increase of over 4 times compared to the previous year, presenting an innovative solution for app developers' revenue generation.
Delightroom announced on the 14th that the ad revenue of 12 client companies that adopted DARO increased by an average of 150%. In particular, in the case of the couple messenger 'Between', acquired by Delightroom's subsidiary, despite being a mature service over 10 years old, it showed a remarkable success story with ad revenue increasing by 2.8 times after adopting DARO.
Shin Jae-myung, CEO of Delightroom, expressed his expectations, stating, "DARO, which encapsulates Alarmy's 10 years of accumulated ad monetization know-how, will become a powerful tool for app developers to efficiently generate revenue." DARO provides core features directly verified by Alarmy, such as data-driven automated revenue optimization, professional UX consulting, and an intuitive performance dashboard.
Meanwhile, buoyed by DARO's success, Delightroom recorded sales of 33.7 billion KRW and operating profit of 19 billion KRW in 2023, continuing its robust growth trajectory. This is an achievement of reaching 30 billion KRW in sales in just three years after surpassing 10 billion KRW in sales in 2021. In addition to in-app ad revenue from its flagship service Alarmy, the paid subscription service launched in 2020 and DARO launched in 2023 served as key growth engines. Based on these effective monetization strategies, Delightroom has consistently maintained a high operating profit margin in the 50% range over the past three years.
