BuildBlock Spearheads IBK's 'ChangGong Silicon Valley Center' Construction
The 'IBK Changgong Silicon Valley Center,' a base for IBK Industrial Bank of Korea's expansion into Silicon Valley, USA, has successfully opened. The overarching partner for this project was none other than Buildblock, a comprehensive real estate services company in the U.S. On the 17th, this center, located on University Avenue near Stanford University in the heart of Palo Alto, California, was elevated beyond a conventional office to a powerful support hub. In the heart of the Silicon Valley startup ecosystem, a strategic stronghold has been established for domestic companies' global ventures. Beyond simple construction, Buildblock flawlessly executed the project by providing a 'one-stop solution' that takes charge of all real estate-related processes, from site selection to lease agreements, intricate design, obtaining necessary permits, professional construction, and efficient operational management. This collaboration holds even more special significance. This is because Buildblock is an alumnus company of the 2021 IBK Changgong program. After successfully graduating from the program as a senior company, it has now contributed to establishing a base to help junior startups in their global endeavors as a reliable partner. Headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA, Buildblock operates branches in major hubs such as Los Angeles, Texas, and New York, assisting Korean companies in successfully establishing themselves in the U.S. market. Having attracted investments from prominent domestic financial holding companies, including Hana, Shinhan, and KB, as well as IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, its capabilities and reliability are well-recognized. In addition to the IBK Changgong Center, it has successfully executed major projects such as the Asan Nanum Foundation's MARU SF and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups & Korea Venture Investment's creation of startup venture campuses, solidifying its position. A Buildblock official stated, "We will be the best partner to proactively resolve all real estate-related difficulties Korean companies face when entering the U.S. market," and emphasized, "We sincerely hope that the IBK Changgong Silicon Valley Center will serve as a crucial bridgehead for promising domestic startups to take vigorous steps into the U.S. market."
