As the number of foreign tourists visiting Seoul rapidly increased, surpassing 16.3 million last year, the need for customized tourism information is growing due to the diversification of nationalities and preferences. In response to these changes, Bespin Global, an AI managed service specialist, has built an innovative AI travel concierge agent specifically tailored for domestic tourism for the Seoul Tourism Organization. This project focuses on optimizing the Seoul visiting experience for foreign tourists and providing personalized information. Developed through Bespin Global's LLM (Large Language Model)-based platform 'Helpnow AI', this AI agent goes beyond simple information provision. In addition to detailed information on tourist attractions, restaurants, and accommodations, it creates personalized travel itineraries based on visitors' interests and communicates fluently in five languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese. The core of this service lies in gathering vast domestic tourism data into one place. It integrates tourism content information scattered across various sources such as the Public Data Portal, Korea Tourism Organization, and Visit Seoul, and has efficiently built it upon a cloud-based generative AI infrastructure. A key feature is the application of the 'Advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)' method to minimize inaccurate information generation (hallucination), a persistent problem with AI, thereby dramatically improving the accuracy of the provided answers. This helps tourists obtain reliable information and plan more satisfying trips. Currently, this AI agent is available through the Visit Seoul application, and the Seoul Tourism Organization plans to actively collect user feedback until next month to continuously improve the service. Na Jeong-woo, Team Leader at Bespin Global, emphasized that this collaboration with the Seoul Tourism Organization has set an important milestone in leading AI technology innovation in the tourism industry, and stated that the company will continue to lead the development of AI services specialized for various industrial sectors. The introduction of this AI agent is expected to provide more accurate and personalized travel information to foreign tourists visiting Seoul, significantly enhancing convenience. In the future, the service will be further advanced with features such as personalization and real-time booking capabilities, setting a new standard for future travel experiences.
