## Korea Blockchain Startup Association 2.0 Era Begins: Inauguration of New Chairman Cho Won-hee and Announcement of New Vision On the 18th, a new vision presentation for the Korea Blockchain Startup Association was successfully held at Dream Plus Gangnam, alongside the inauguration ceremony for Cho Won-hee, CEO attorney of Law Firm DLG, as the 3rd chairman. The association, which has quietly supported the growth of domestic blockchain startups since its establishment in 2018, has now announced its ambition to take a step further through its '2.0 Vision'. This 2.0 Vision is centered around four key strategies: ▲Strengthening support functions for blockchain startup growth ▲Building international cooperation networks ▲Expanding blockchain-centric industry convergence and collaboration ▲Strengthening the blockchain policy think tank function. This is interpreted as a commitment not merely to assist individual companies, but to lead the qualitative and quantitative growth of the entire domestic blockchain ecosystem. Particularly noteworthy is the full support of Law Firm DLG, led by the new Chairman Cho Won-hee. DLG will join hands with the association to help dismantle various barriers that startups may face by building corporate and government networks, facilitating investment and M&A connections, providing specialized blockchain business education programs, and, most importantly, offering legal and policy response consulting. Furthermore, the promotion of cooperation with global blockchain hubs such as Avalanche, Solana, and the Ethereum Foundation is expected to be a significant boost for domestic startups to establish a foothold for overseas expansion. The association plans to actively respond to the legislation and institutionalization of virtual assets in Korea by the first half of 2025, conduct in-depth analysis of global regulatory trends including the United States, and lead the creation of a blockchain-friendly environment through discussions with major domestic regulatory bodies. Additionally, it aims to expand investment opportunities for promising companies by hosting blockchain startup IR competitions. New Chairman Cho Won-hee expressed his strong commitment, stating, "In the era of the Korea Blockchain Startup Association 2.0, we will support blockchain startups to grow explosively by converging with various industry sectors such as AI, finance, healthcare, ESG, and gaming." He specifically added, "We will concentrate the association's capabilities on minimizing legal risks and actively promoting entry into the global market." With his inauguration, attention is focused on whether domestic blockchain startups can expand onto the world stage in a more stable and innovative environment.
