A large-scale collaborative event involving 55 domestic and international financial institutions and venture capitalists (VCs) will be held. d.camp and the Korea FinTech Support Center will host the 'd.camp StartupOI #Finance' event on October 31st at FRONT1 in Mapo, Seoul, seeking to expand the collaborative ecosystem by converging startups' innovative technologies with financial institutions' business models.
This event has been prepared to highlight business innovation cases of financial institutions through the innovative technologies of startups, and to expand the base of cooperation between the financial sector and startups. d.camp selected the final 5 startups after a fierce competition and an initial written screening.
**Innovative Companies Gather in Distribution, AI, Insurance, Real Estate, and Data Sectors**
The final 5 startups that will grace the event are NAMDOK MARKET, ReturnZero, AIMS, Big Tech Plus, and Antock, all leading innovation in their respective fields.
* **NAMDOK MARKET (CEO Yang Seung-woo)** is a distribution innovation company aiming to be "the Amazon for wholesalers and retailers worldwide," supporting K-producers and wholesalers with promotion, settlement, and overseas expansion, while digitizing the entire process of wholesale market transactions.
* **ReturnZero (CEO Lee Cham-sol)** is an AI voice recognition specialist, showcasing fast, accurate, and highly secure AI technology through its call-to-text conversion app 'VITO' and automatic meeting minute generation service 'Collabo'. It contributes to innovating companies' customer-facing operations.
* **AIMS (CEO Lim Jong-yoon)** is an Insurtech company that innovates insurance product launches and claim assessments for insurers through ontology-based automatic analysis of insurance policies and AI-driven assessment automation technology. It supports digital and AI transformation for numerous insurance companies.
* **Big Tech Plus (CEO Ham Bae-il)** is a Proptech company that utilizes AI and big data to provide 'HomeQ', a real estate asset management and 'jeonse' fraud prevention solution. It offers daily life-oriented services such as housing complex recommendations, access to registration and land records, and deposit safety diagnostics.
* **Antock (CEO Park Jae-jun)** is a financial data specialist company that collects and analyzes financial and non-financial data of all corporate entities in Korea. **55 Global Financial Institutions Participate, Creating a Venue for Practical Cooperation**
The event, which will kick off with an open mic session by Yang Choong-mo, Vice President of MUFG Innovation Partners, will feature presentations on collaboration cases by each startup, followed by a Q&A session. Judging will be based on a combination of professional evaluations by financial institution judges and audience votes.
This event will see 55 institutions in total, including 19 commercial banks, global financial institutions such as DG Daiwa Ventures (Japan), Global Brain (Japan), Korelya Capital (Europe), Legend Capital (Greater China), Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (Japan), and Mizuho Bank (Japan), as well as major domestic venture capitalists, participating as judges and collaborating institutions, providing practical cooperation opportunities between startups and the financial sector.
Award-winning startups will receive honors such as 'Startup of the Year (Financial Services Commission Chairman's Award)', 'Outstanding Startup Noted by Financial Institutions (Korea Federation of Banks Chairman's Award)', and 'Outstanding Startup Noted by Investors (d.camp CEO's Award)', along with opportunities to secure financial institution clients, support for proving business growth potential, consideration for investment attraction, and benefits worth 10 million won. Furthermore, financial institution representatives who actively cooperate with startups will be awarded 'Startup-Friendly Financial Institution Representative Selected by Founders (Financial Services Commission Chairman's Award)', aiming to enhance the value of mutual growth.
