2 PM Lab Selected for SKT Net Zero Challenge X with AI Carbon Management Tech
Innovative climate tech startup Ohoodusi Lab has proudly been named a supporting company for the national project 'Net Zero ChallengeX,' which is set to play a pivotal role in achieving South Korea's carbon neutrality goal. This achievement is all the more significant as it was made possible with the active support of SK Telecom's startup accelerating program 'ESG Korea 2025.' 'Net Zero ChallengeX,' hosted by the 2050 Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth Commission directly under the President, is a national initiative aimed at discovering and fostering promising companies in the field of carbon reduction. Currently, 34 institutions co-operate it, and this year, a total of 305 startups applied, leading to fierce competition. Ohoodusi Lab successfully passed the gateway where only 56 companies were finally selected after rigorous evaluations of technology and business feasibility and assessments of contributions to carbon neutrality, proving its capabilities. Ohoodusi Lab's core platform, 'GreenFlo,' integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data technologies, innovatively automating complex carbon emission management for businesses. It features real-time collection and analysis of various activity data, such as electricity, gas, and logistics, to precisely calculate carbon emissions. Notably, recently, it participated in the establishment of Gyeonggi Province's climate management service platform, enhancing the carbon data management capabilities of SMEs, and is continuously expanding its service scope with AI-based Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and product-unit carbon reduction effect analysis, garnering market anticipation. With this selection, Ohoodusi Lab will receive all-encompassing support from leading institutions including SK Telecom, ranging from customized mentoring, commercialization funds, to global market entry assistance, until the end of December 2028. This is expected to be a powerful driving force enabling Ohoodusi Lab to play a leading role in both domestic and international carbon reduction markets. Oh Kwang-myung, CEO of Ohoodusi Lab, stated his ambition, saying, "Our vision is to advance our AI-based carbon data model and build a comprehensive carbon data ecosystem where all economic actors, from businesses to small business owners and individuals, can participate in carbon management." Ohoodusi Lab's selection for 'Net Zero ChallengeX' is expected to become an important milestone in accelerating South Korea's transition to a carbon-neutral society.
