At Seoul Startup Hub Gongdeok, an important step has begun for promising startups to enter the Middle Eastern market. On August 6th, the orientation for the 'SBA 2025 H2 Global (UAE) Expansion Program' was successfully held under the auspices of the Korea-UAE Chamber of Commerce (AGCC). The 10 startups finally selected after fierce competition are now preparing for a new leap forward. These companies are Naeilsaenggak, JSK Biomed, ADP Derma, May I, Bitgleem, Conective, WiFi One, Monnet Korea, Tesser, and Team Monolith. During the orientation, the program's operational direction and in-depth strategies for successful localization were shared. After covering the core contents of the program, including guidance on SBA grant usage regulations, an introduction to AGCC and sharing of the Dubai program roadmap, and introduction of selected companies, preliminary education for practical local market entry followed. In particular, Albert Shafiev, Head of Global Investments at AGCC, provided practical and vivid lectures on the themes of 'UAE Local Market Trends' and 'UAE Business Etiquette,' covering industry status, considerations for building partnerships, and local communication etiquette, thereby enhancing the understanding of the participating companies. Jeon Jeong-hyun, CEO of AGCC Korea, building on last year's successful experience, emphasized the achievement of more concrete results this year. He promised active support, aiming to secure partnerships, promote PoCs (Proof of Concept), and generate tangible sales leads through customized local meetups, partner matching, and pitching sessions for each company. In the entire process, including meetups, buyer and institutional meetings, and pitching sessions to be held locally in Dubai this coming September-October, AGCC will conduct thorough performance management concurrently and will serve as a strong facilitator for the successful establishment of Korean startups in the UAE market.
