YouTube Shopping Expands Partnerships Across Lifestyle to Offer a 'Win-Win' for Both Creators and Viewers! YouTube is significantly expanding partnerships for its 'YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program,' broadening the horizons of the shopping experience. With Kurly, Queenit, and Ohouse recently joining as new affiliates, users can now directly discover products across an 'all-encompassing' range of categories in YouTube content, including beauty, fashion, food, lifestyle, and home decor. Kurly and Queenit will be tagged in creators' videos starting today, and Ohouse from early next week, awaiting viewers. This expansion provides creators with a wider selection of products and significantly increases opportunities to introduce products and generate revenue across all formats, including videos, Shorts, and live streams. Viewers who discover products they like in their favorite videos will now enjoy a convenient 'watch-to-buy' experience, allowing them to purchase immediately without leaving the screen. Since its introduction in Korea in June 2024, the YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program has already garnered an enthusiastic response by partnering with major companies like Coupang, Olive Young, Zigzag, and ABLY. Its utility has been proven, with actual watch time for shopping-related content surging by over 300% compared to the previous year. The addition of Kurly, 4050 lifestyle platform Queenit, and life event integrated solution Ohouse is expected to further accelerate this trajectory of success. A YouTube Shopping official stated, "Since its introduction in Korea last year, YouTube Shopping's utilization has significantly increased," adding their ambition to "diversify product selection through collaboration with new partners and provide an integrated shopping experience where purchases can be made simultaneously with viewing." A Queenit official also expressed expectations that the trend of exploring and purchasing products while enjoying YouTube content will expand, hoping that customers of various age groups can shop more easily and enjoyably. In this way, YouTube is breaking down the boundaries between content and commerce, establishing itself as a core platform that offers creators new revenue models and users a higher level of shopping enjoyment.
