Yeogi Eottae, breaks record-high performance fueled by overseas travel!
Travel and leisure platform Yeogi Eottae recorded an operating profit of 56.5 billion won last year, showing an astonishing growth rate of 22% compared to the previous year, driven by the brilliant growth of its overseas business. This is a valuable achievement made possible by continuous innovation even amidst an unstable market.
According to Yeogi Eottae's 2024 performance report released on the 14th, overseas accommodation transaction volume surged an astonishing 2.3 times, acting as a driving force that boosted total transaction volume by 14%. Thanks to its successful overseas travel strategy, active users surpassed 12 million, demonstrating an overwhelming presence. In particular, the accommodation sector, a core part of overseas travel, recorded explosive growth of 130%. A major overhaul of web services, considering customers' complex purchasing processes, and a strategy to simultaneously strengthen both app and web channels proved effective. Providing customized promotions and an optimized purchasing environment was key to its success.
This year, the momentum in the overseas travel sector is expected to continue unbroken. Yeogi Eottae is further accelerating the expansion of its overseas travel business by incorporating 'Online Tour,' a comprehensive travel agency it had invested in, as a wholly owned subsidiary. It is expected that the synergy between Online Tour's 20 years of expertise in air travel and package tours and Yeogi Eottae's unique platform technology will open new horizons in the overseas travel market.
The company also continues its unique path in the domestic travel market. While strengthening cooperation with local governments, it is also actively working to improve the domestic guesthouse (pension) ecosystem. The newly introduced 'Booking Hub' is an innovative booking and operational solution that solves the chronic overbooking problem for guesthouse operators and provides integrated real-time reservation and sales data management.
Furthermore, focusing on its B2B service 'Yeogi Eottae Business,' which boasts 2,500 member companies, the company plans to continuously expand services for corporate clients and build an optimal travel environment for group customers.
Jeong Myeong-hoon, CEO of Yeogi Eottae, emphasized, "Achieving growth amidst the uncertainties surrounding the travel and IT industries is thanks to continuous service development and improvement." He further pledged to integrate deep consideration for 'the essence of travel' into their services this year, providing the best value to customers. Meanwhile, last year's revenue, calculated according to changed accounting standards, was 249 billion won, demonstrating solid growth.
