YComma, which operates the fashion curation outlet platform ‘drrip,’ has proudly been named among the ‘7th StyleTech Promising Companies’ hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Design Promotion! This means it has been selected for a government project that discovers and supports promising companies that integrate ICT technologies like AI and IoT into style sectors such as fashion and beauty. This is expected to give wings to drrip's rapid growth, including collaboration with large and mid-sized enterprises, support for professional designers, and global market expansion.
Drrip, led by CEOs Seon Jong-seok and Kim Hyun-jung, is an innovative platform that curates off-season fashion inventory appealing to the 2030 generation and assigns ‘new value’ to these products through style content. Its strategy stands out by not simply clearing inventory but reinterpreting it with content to offer consumers fresh appeal.
Notably, drrip has captured the industry's attention by achieving remarkable results: attracting 140 fashion brands and securing 27,000 members in just four months since its launch in February this year. This is analyzed as a result of its ‘content-centric marketing,’ which differentiates it from existing outlet platforms, having truly resonated.
Kim Min-geun, CBO of YComma, emphasized, “drrip strives to play a new platform role that solves brands' inventory problems while preserving their value,” and expressed ambitious aspirations, stating, “Leveraging this StyleTech program, we will add technological innovation to present a next-generation fashion distribution model that fuses technology and content.” We look forward to drrip's future even more!
