Yanolja to Host 'TenXthon' for Enterprise AI Innovation
Yanolja Group successfully concluded its first company-wide AI hackathon, ‘10X-THON: 2025,’ ushering in an era of comprehensive AI transformation (AX) for the group! Under the slogan ‘AI EVERYWHERE – The Beginning of AX,’ over 360 employees and more than 70 teams participated in the event held in Pangyo for two days, November 6th and 7th, pouring out innovative AI ideas. This 10X-THON was the group's first integrated hackathon, organized to strengthen practical AI capabilities among employees from key member companies such as Yanolja, Nolyuneverse, Sanha Information Technology, and Dable, transcending organizational and job boundaries, and to accelerate the group's overall AX. Not only development roles but also non-development roles such as planning, marketing, and operations gathered together to implement a variety of projects applicable to actual services and operations, all under the dual goals of customer experience innovation and operational efficiency. Notably, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MegazoneCloud participated as official partners, providing comprehensive support including AI and cloud infrastructure, prior training, on-site mentoring, as well as the latest generative AI tools like ‘Amazon Q Developer,’ Claude, and Nova, thereby assisting participants in implementing their ideas. Lee Jun-young, Yanolja Group's Chief Technology Officer (CTO), expressed a strong ambition to "integrate AI technology into the entire organizational culture and working methods to achieve company-wide AX." Furthermore, deep insights into the opportunities and responsibilities of the AI era were shared through a discussion between Benjamin Mann, co-founder of Anthropic, and Kim Jong-yoon, CEO of Yanolja Cloud. After three stages of rigorous judging, a total of 11 teams were honored with awards, and the 'Umo (Winners' Gathering) team,' which solved the problem of fragmented travel information using AI, won the prestigious grand prize. The excellent projects will be applied to actual group businesses in the future, and their potential for service commercialization will be reviewed. Lee Su-jin, General CEO of Yanolja, emphasized, "10X-THON is a starting point for Yanolja to leap forward as a technology-centric organization and the realization of company-wide convergence," adding, "we will spread AI innovation throughout the group's culture to redefine the way of working in the travel industry and further strengthen our global leadership." With this 10X-THON as a stepping stone, Yanolja Group is expected to lead the AI era and open up new horizons in the future travel tech market.
