The 'World IT Show 2025,' which concluded at COEX, was more than just a technology exhibition; it was a stage that imprinted the innovative capabilities of Korean startups on the global stage. Under the theme of 'Beyond Technology, Towards the World,' domestic startups, even amidst the strong presence of large corporations, demonstrated remarkable potential in future core technology fields such as AI, digital twin, and XR.
42Maru, a leader in generative AI, drew significant attention by showcasing 'LLM42,' which obtained Korea's first 'AI Reliability Certification'. It significantly mitigated hallucination phenomena and supported private modes for enterprises, elevating AI's reliability and practicality to a new level. Dalpa, based on its experience of supplying customized AI solutions to over 160 companies within two years of its establishment, unveiled 27 types of AI agents specialized in manufacturing, distribution, and marketing, offering practical alternatives to address companies' concerns about AI adoption.
In the digital twin sector, T-Labs presented a timely solution with its 'Cheongwadae' digital exhibition, while Deep Fine demonstrated a 44% improvement in logistics productivity with its mobile-based XR spatial computing platform 'DSC', showcasing its potential to accelerate digital transformation in industrial sites. Deep Insight's portable 3D scanner 'Dimenview Pro' and Modigence Vision's real-time object volume measurement technology also garnered high expectations in smart construction and logistics automation, respectively. Various other startups showcased their unique technological prowess in their respective fields, including SnapTag's invisible watermark 'Photocode,' XL8's AI simultaneous interpretation 'EventCat,' and ModooSign's AI contract management.
Notably, IBK Changgong, the startup nurturing platform of IBK Industrial Bank, produced half of all awardees for the World IT Show Innovation Award, once again emphasizing the active growth and importance of support for the promising domestic startup ecosystem.
This World IT Show was a hopeful venue that demonstrated how Korea's ICT industry can make a new leap forward, centered around globally competitive startups, in the era of artificial intelligence. It was clear that domestic startups are leading the vanguard on the path 'towards the world,' where innovative technologies create real value and change.
