Amidst Vietnam's passion for Korean language learning, Webersmind is truly fueling the flames by introducing its AI edutech solution 'Basic Korean.' AI edutech company Webersmind has officially launched its Korean language learning service 'Basic Korean' (기초한국어) in the Vietnamese market. This service is systematically designed to help learners who are new to Korean build a strong foundation, from introductory Hangeul consonant and vowel writing to basic vocabulary and sentence learning. In particular, learners can become familiar with unfamiliar Hangeul consonants and vowels by repeatedly writing them on a tablet, and detailed explanations are provided for Korean expressions that do not exist in Vietnamese, aiding comprehension. It sequentially provides pronunciation and meaning at the syllable and word-unit levels, which is a key feature designed to help Vietnamese learners naturally acquire Korean pronunciation and meaning. The curriculum is practical, based on the standard textbooks for the Employment Permit System Korean Language Test (EPS-TOPIK). It is effective for preparing for the listening and reading sections of the Korean Language Proficiency Test (TOPIK) and EPS-TOPIK, and learners can experience the actual test format in advance through four-option multiple-choice quizzes, developing practical test-taking skills. According to Webersmind, the launch of 'Basic Korean' is a response to the explosively increasing demand for Korean language and Korean language proficiency tests in Vietnam. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 2024 survey on the status of Hallyu overseas, Vietnam showed a fervent interest in Korea last year, with the fourth highest consumption of Korean cultural content in the Asia-Pacific region. Jeong Seong-eun, CEO of Webersmind, stated that this service is "the first step embodying Webersmind's philosophy to go beyond simple language education, lower the entry barrier for Korean language learning, and provide a learner-centric customized experience," and promised continuous technological advancement and content improvement for local Vietnamese learners. Webersmind, a leading AI edutech company that has secured 2.05 million cumulative learners with its 'Noesaegim' brand and holds 12 patents worldwide, exceeded annual sales of 100 billion won in 2023. In 2024, it is expanding its market to Vietnam and Japan, leapfrogging to become a global enterprise. In particular, 'The Week' smart workbook series has gained immense popularity among the 2030 generation, selling over 4.5 million copies in just two years, demonstrating its solid potential.
