Wadle Demos GPT-5 Hackathon Winner at OpenAI Korea Launch
At the recent OpenAI Korea opening ceremony, which garnered significant attention from the AI industry, domestic AI startup Wadle made a remarkable appearance. At the event held on the 11th, Wadle demonstrated its winning entry from the ‘OpenAI GPT-5 Hackathon,’ attracting keen interest. Notably, among the total of three booth operators, Wadle was uniquely selected in the AI service sector, officially recognizing its technological prowess and potential. At the press conference held on the 10th, the day before the event, Jason Kwon, OpenAI CSO, directly mentioned Wadle's GPT-5 Hackathon win, praising it as 'a symbolic example showcasing Korea's human resources and creativity,' which further heightened expectations. The innovative demo unveiled by Wadle that day was none other than 'Oracle of Delphi for online stores.' This is a groundbreaking system that, based on GPT-5, generates 'digital clones' of online shopping mall visitors and, through them, simulates sophisticated sales strategies. AI accurately predicts the performance of various sales elements, such as new product arrivals, special promotions, and coupon issuance. Shopping mall operators can diagnose problems through conversation with AI, establish optimal strategies, predict the results, and then apply them directly to the actual shopping mall with just one click. This demonstrates a future where AI goes beyond mere assistance to become a core partner in actual business decision-making. Wadle plans to integrate this system with its AI clerk service, ‘Gentoo,’ to create powerful synergy, going beyond predicting shopping mall sales to proposing customized sales strategies. This remarkable technology had already proven its competitiveness on the global stage by proudly taking first place among 93 teams worldwide at the OpenAI GPT-5 Hackathon held in San Francisco, USA, last August. Park Ji-hyuk, CEO of Wadle, stated, "It's a new feeling to present Gentoo's new vision alongside the launch of OpenAI Korea," adding his ambition that "Wadle will lead the era of agentic commerce where AI agents become core partners in shopping mall operations." Wadle, which operates a multi-agent-based B2B SaaS solution that assists online shopping mall customers throughout their purchase journey, has already attracted investment from leading investors such as Kakao Ventures and Bon Angels Venture Partners, thereby having its growth potential recognized. Wadle's participation in this OpenAI Korea opening ceremony is expected to be an important milestone that will open new horizons not only domestically but also in the global AI commerce market.
