Viewrun Technology, a LiDAR solution specialist leading innovation in the autonomous driving and smart infrastructure sectors, is accelerating its penetration into the global market, particularly the Chinese market, by dedicating all its efforts to expanding its overseas business.
Based on its outstanding LiDAR perception technology, Viewrun Technology began full-scale local marketing activities in China last April and embarked on building a partnership ecosystem. Through the 'Korea-China Next-Generation Mobility Cooperation Plaza' held in Changchun, China, the company initiated direct exchanges with local automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, successfully establishing its first foothold for entering the Chinese market.
Subsequently, at 'EAC 2025' held in Hangzhou in June, Viewrun Technology signed an MOU with local company LightIC and conducted joint demo demonstrations in the autonomous driving and smart infrastructure sectors, establishing a close collaborative relationship. In July in Shanghai, targeting local OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and semiconductor companies, Viewrun successfully showcased its core autonomous driving perception solution 'VueOne' and its AI-based integrated development platform 'VueX', demonstrating its technological prowess.
Recently, at 'CIFTIS 2025', a Chinese government-led national-level smart city exhibition held in Beijing, Viewrun Technology signed an MOU with Zhijue Intelligent Technology and operated a joint booth, achieving significant expansion of its local recognition. Currently, Viewrun Technology has secured a total of four local partners in various regions of China, including Zhijue Intelligent Technology and FullSmarts Tech, actively pursuing joint projects and business commercialization discussions, thereby solidifying a strong foundation within the Chinese market.
Beyond Korea, Viewrun Technology has secured orders from major global automotive customers in North America and Japan, earning recognition for its technological competitiveness in the global market. Kim Jae-kwang, CEO of Viewrun Technology, stated, "Viewrun's LiDAR perception technology has already proven its competitiveness in the global market. To successfully penetrate the Chinese market, following Japan, the United States, and Europe, we will certainly generate tangible results based on a localization strategy and proactive cooperation with partners," expressing strong ambition.
Meanwhile, having attracted Series A investment totaling 22 billion KRW and achieving a cumulative investment of 33 billion KRW, Viewrun Technology recently appointed Mirae Asset Securities as its lead underwriter and is accelerating its preparations for an initial public offering (IPO).
