Video AI Firm Pilor Wins NVIDIA Inception Challenge
Video understanding AI startup Pyler has proven its global technological prowess by winning the top prize at the 'NVIDIA Inception Startup Grand Challenge 2025' among over 80 participating teams. Pyler, which secured the honor of first place, surpassing the final five finalists, has gained opportunities to participate in NVIDIA's developer events and showcase at AI Day Seoul. At this competition, an NVIDIA program for discovering and fostering startups utilizing its technology, the Pyler team received high praise from the judges for its solution to establish brand safety and secure 'Trust & Safety (T&S)' using multimodal AI. CEO Jae-ho Oh emphasized the importance of an automated AI verification layer to solve the problem of harmful content such as deepfakes and child sexual abuse material arising from the proliferation of AIGC (AI-generated content). To overcome the physical limitations of manual human review, Pyler operates its 'AiD' solution, which reviews and blocks over 1.5 million videos per day in real-time. This solution is based on 'Antares,' Pyler's independently developed video understanding AI model. CEO Jae-ho Oh expressed his anticipation for close technical and business cooperation with NVIDIA through this award, stating that Pyler will advance its safe and reliable video understanding AI and strengthen its business in the T&S sector. He particularly emphasized NVIDIA's role as a key partner for building generative AI and video content verification layers. On the afternoon of the 18th, at NVIDIA AI Day Seoul, CEO Oh will co-host a session with Premal Sabla, NVIDIA's Senior Director for DGX Blackwell, titled 'Multimodal AI for Building Brand Safety.' During this session, he plans to introduce Pyler's core technologies in the T&S domain, including AI infrastructure design, learning workflow orchestration, and content moderation and verification. Pyler is already collaborating with leading domestic and international companies such as Samsung Electronics, KT, and Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, providing 'AiD' and its context-based ad targeting solution 'AiM.' The company continues its innovative strides, including becoming the first Korean company to participate in the IAB Tech Lab, a global digital advertising technology standardization organization.
