V-Dream Launches 'V-Art Bridge' to Support Artists with Disabilities
Vdream, which makes the dreams of disabled artists a reality, has introduced an innovative creative support system called ‘V-art Bridge’ into its creative platform, ‘V-art Gallery’. V-art Gallery, which opened last July, has been supporting the economic independence and confident social participation of disabled artists by producing custom goods utilizing their beautiful creations. Now, taking a step further, ‘V-art Bridge’ has been added to ensure the sustainability of their artistic activities. The long-standing chronic problems in the art world, such as opaque profit distribution and delayed settlements, have exhausted talented artists and shaken the foundation of their creative activities. V-art Bridge was born to break down these barriers. By introducing clear royalty calculation standards and a quarterly settlement system, it ensures that artists can receive fair compensation for their labor and talent in a timely and transparent manner. Vdream expects this new settlement structure to significantly reduce the economic uncertainty for disabled artists. Stable income will allow artists to fully concentrate on their creations, creating a healthy virtuous cycle where the fruits of their efforts lead to new creative opportunities. This will be an important step towards expanding beyond simple exhibitions or sales into a sustainable art ecosystem with marketability and stability. Furthermore, with the introduction of the system, Vdream has promised even broader support. It plans to protect the valuable intellectual property (IP) of disabled artists, support planned exhibitions to promote their works to the world, and create collaboration opportunities with various brands. Moreover, it will strive to discover new, hidden creators who have not yet seen the light. Kim Min-ji, CEO of Vdream, emphasized that this ‘transparency’ is a sign of respect for artists and an essential foundation for a sustainable art ecosystem. She expressed her ambition to achieve mutual growth with disabled artists and to develop the related industry together through fair operation. Meanwhile, Vdream continues various innovations for the social participation of disabled people, such as helping over 450 large corporations and public institutions integrate and manage the entire process of employing disabled individuals through its remote work-based HR management system called ‘Flipped’. The introduction of V-art Bridge will be another significant milestone in supporting the independence and activity of disabled people in the art field, going beyond remote work.
