UX research SaaS Userspoon has unveiled an innovative feature to quench researchers' long-standing thirst: AI-powered 'follow-up questions.' This now transcends the previous limitation of struggling to delve deep into the nuances of open-ended responses.
With this feature, researchers only need to input the 'intent' of a question, and AI analyzes the respondent's answer in real-time, automatically generating contextually relevant follow-up questions up to three levels deep. For example, if a respondent answers "Notification settings were too complex" to the question "What inconveniences have you experienced recently while using financial apps?", the AI immediately follows up with questions like "What specific situations made you feel it was complex?" and "What inconveniences did that cause in your actual usage?", thereby guiding a deeper conversation.
This overcomes the limitations of traditional surveys that end with short answers, allowing for the acquisition of rich information much like a 1:1 interview. Especially in non-face-to-face and asynchronous surveys, it expands the response flow in real-time, significantly reducing the time and effort spent on manual work. This feature, combined with Userspoon's survey forms that integrate various UX research methods such as FCT (First Click Test), 5-second tests, card sorting, and tree tests, enables the extraction of even more powerful insights.
Furthermore, Userspoon will launch the 'Brand Panel' feature in September, allowing companies to build and manage their own user pools. Developed in collaboration with large enterprises to meet security and practical requirements, this feature supports companies in recruiting their own customers directly, as well as integrating profiling, response rewards, and history management. This will lay the groundwork for companies to utilize customer data more systematically and conduct repetitive research efficiently.
Kang Jisoo, CEO of Userspoon, stated, "What Userspoon sells is a healthy research culture," expressing the ambition to create a culture where asking customers questions becomes natural and making decisions based on customer data is self-evident. Through technological innovation, Userspoon is focused on helping companies listen more attentively to their customers' voices and make wise, data-driven decisions.
