## Twelve Labs Proves Global Leadership in Video AI Technology by Joining AWS Bedrock Twelve Labs, a global leader in video understanding AI, has solidified its unique position in the worldwide AI technology sector by supplying its innovative AI models to ‘Amazon Bedrock,’ a core service of Amazon Web Services (AWS). Bedrock is a fully managed service that helps developers access world-class AI models through a single API, currently offering models exclusively from selected global frontier AI companies such as Amazon, Meta, and Anthropic. Twelve Labs has been selected as the sole video understanding AI model provider, excluding Amazon's internal model Nova, once again proving its globally recognized technological prowess in the field of video intelligence. Twelve Labs' ‘Marengo’ and ‘Pegasus’ models boast exceptional capabilities in effectively analyzing vast video data and searching for and understanding various elements within videos, such as objects, actions, and background sounds, using natural language. This maximizes the potential value of video content that was previously difficult to utilize, enabling businesses to easily perform video search, analysis, and insight generation. Samira Panah Bakhtiar, AWS General Manager for Media & Entertainment, emphasized, "The integration of Twelve Labs' models allows customers to easily tap into the vast potential of their video libraries without the burden of infrastructure management." Through Amazon Bedrock, customers can leverage Twelve Labs' advanced technology to build and scale generative AI applications, efficiently performing natural language-based video search, summarization, categorization, and insight extraction while maintaining data control and enterprise-grade security. This collaboration is expected to bring transformative changes to industries where video content is central, such as media, entertainment, sports, and advertising. Film studios will be able to swiftly manage footage and archives, and sports leagues can automate the generation of game highlights and the creation of fan-customized content at scale. Jae-sung Lee, CEO of Twelve Labs, stated, "This selection will be a significant turning point in maximizing the value of video data, which accounts for 80% of the world's data but has remained largely unutilized." Furthermore, this collaboration has served to strengthen the Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) between Twelve Labs and AWS, with Twelve Labs utilizing AWS SageMaker HyperPod to accelerate model development, improve training speed, and achieve cost reduction effects. Moving forward, the company plans to further accelerate its global market entry and service expansion through AWS Activate and Marketplace.
