Turing, the operator of 'Math King' (수학대왕), a self-directed AI math learning platform, has launched a powerful AI agent feature, 'Solution Analysis AI,' set to further revolutionize students' learning experiences! Now, Math King goes beyond simply grading answers; its AI meticulously diagnoses and analyzes each student's thought process and problem-solving abilities.
The newly added 'Step-by-step Solution Analysis' feature allows AI to deeply analyze the solution process written by the student. For example, in a quadratic equation problem, it evaluates each step – such as whether the equation was formulated accurately or the graph was drawn correctly – and provides specific feedback. This enables students to clearly identify their weaknesses and gain a deep understanding of mathematical concepts, while teachers can drastically reduce time spent on individual feedback, maximizing student management efficiency.
Furthermore, the Q&A board has introduced an enhanced 'AI 3-second Answer' feature. When a question is posted, the Solution Analysis AI provides real-time answers, immediately assisting students with problem-solving. Moreover, a system that awards points to students who provide excellent answers encourages them to ponder questions, challenge solutions, and form a self-directed learning community. In addition to these, subtle updates reflecting feedback from the educational field, such as UI/UX advancements for the Math King app and the addition of teacher annotation functions, have also been implemented.
Math King has always established itself as a self-directed learning platform that, based on AI agents specialized in math education, diagnoses student levels with just five problem solutions, provides customized education, and instills interest and confidence in math through gamification elements. This Solution Analysis AI can be considered another technological leap, following the introduction of AI handwriting recognition last October.
Turing plans to introduce additional student self-directed learning management features in the first half of the year. Key examples include the 'Infinite Clinic Auto-Generation' feature to aid in understanding problem types and a revamped 'Analysis' tab for identifying conceptual weaknesses. Ultimately, through continuous technological development, the goal is to expand beyond analysis AI to become an interactive AI tutor.
Currently, Math King has surpassed 1.2 million cumulative subscribers and is actively used in approximately 100 schools and academies. Its technological prowess has also been recognized in the global market; it was selected as one of the top 10 Korean startups by OpenAI at the '2023 OpenAI Matching Day' and published a paper at the world-renowned AI conference 'AAAI 2023,' receiving high praise both domestically and internationally.
Choi Min-kyu, CEO of Turing, stated, "Math King will establish itself as a trusted AI agent for math education among teachers and parents in South Korea's educational field, contributing to creating a world without 'math dropouts' (those who give up on math)." He further expressed his ambition to continuously develop and innovate the AI-powered education market.
