Tokyo Metro Opens Generative AI Era with Allganize 'Alli': Simultaneously Innovating Customer Experience and Operational Efficiency As the first Japanese railway company, Tokyo Metro is leading digital innovation by fully adopting generative AI across its customer service and internal operations. Based on the 'Alli' platform developed by Allganize, a Korean LLM all-in-one solution company, the strategy is to simultaneously achieve two goals: enhancing customer experience and maximizing operational efficiency. The core of this adoption is a significant advancement of AI-based chatbots. Moving beyond existing standardized response methods, Allganize's proprietary RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) technology will be used to analyze vast internal data, including the official website, in real-time and generate optimal answers. Notably, it has the ability to accurately understand complex documents, including those with tables or handwriting. This is expected to significantly reduce the workload of the customer center, which handles approximately 250,000 phone inquiries and 100,000 emails annually. An example of enhanced customer convenience is the improved lost and found registration process. Previously, the cumbersome procedure that required multiple email exchanges can now be streamlined to be completed in a single step via the chatbot, significantly increasing customer satisfaction. Internal operational efficiency will also be greatly enhanced. Allganize's 'Alli App Market' supports employees in automating repetitive tasks. It offers various LLM-based applications such as automatic response generation, email writing, document summarization, and report creation, providing employees with the flexibility to selectively utilize multiple LLM models like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude according to their work objectives and needs. Lee Chang-su, CEO of Allganize, stated, "Based on our experience of successfully providing services to over 390 global clients, we have built a solution optimized for Tokyo Metro," adding, "We will continue to expand the application of generative AI technology to various industries, accelerating digital transformation." Tokyo Metro's decision is garnering attention as it proposes a new AI utilization model for the railway industry and is expected to lead industry standards.
