TIPS, organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is a flagship technology startup program where the government and private sector jointly discover and support startups with high growth potential. In the past month, numerous promising startups have been selected for TIPS, demonstrating their innovativeness. Digital Healthcare Innovation: FixUP Healthcare has been selected for TIPS for its remote rehabilitation monitoring solution. It remotely tracks and analyzes patient recovery progress, recommends AI-based rehabilitation programs, and even supports automated insurance claims. Its technology has been recognized in the global market, including being approved as a Medicare reimbursement item in the U.S., and with TIPS support, it plans to refine its prediction algorithms and advance its AI functionalities. Orland Bio has been placed on the Deep Tech TIPS Fast Track for developing medical devices for kidney function recovery in pets and humans using advanced biocompatible scaffolds. Moving beyond the limitations of existing dialysis/transplantation, it induces kidney tissue regeneration and has shown significant functional recovery in small animal experiments. Through TIPS, it aims to accelerate preclinical trials and commercialization, targeting global market entry. AI-based Business Efficiency: Dalpha has been selected for Scale-up TIPS for its AI Agent Studio, securing 1.2 billion won in R&D funding. It develops AI agents capable of autonomous decision-making and execution, such as business metric-based strategy recommendations and A/B test automation, setting a new standard for generative AI-based business strategies. Vertical Bar has been selected for Deep Tech TIPS for its AI solution optimizing corporate operational processes, receiving 1.5 billion won in support. It trains ERP data with a Large Process Model (LPM) to diagnose bottlenecks in real-time and propose simulation-based optimization scenarios. Its 'Analytic Agent' replaces months-long consulting with real-time natural language queries, expanding its business primarily in the North American market. StepHow, a local document processing AI agent, develops systems for organizational information integration and context-based information provision. Its solution's stability has already been recognized by major domestic corporations and public institutions, and it is generating sales in the U.S. as well. Schurgen, an AI autonomous manufacturing solution company, receives 1.8 billion won in R&D support through Deep Tech TIPS. Through 'MetaLine,' it integrates complex robot teaching environments and maximizes robot system productivity through AI optimization and digital twin verification. It plans to contribute to solving labor shortages and ensuring compatibility in manufacturing sites by standardizing robot control codes. Pioneering Future Lifestyles: Softberry, the operator of Korea's largest EV platform ‘EV Infra,’ has been selected for Scale-up TIPS R&D. It is building an AI-based integrated platform that covers the entire process of EV diagnosis, charging, transaction, and asset valuation, leading the SDV era and data-driven transaction market with LLM-based charging station recommendation AI and used EV/battery value prediction models. The New Grey, a senior content and commerce startup, has been selected for TIPS and is building an AI-powered 'content-academy-community-commerce' value chain. Through the development of senior influencer IP and advanced customized commerce, it is expected to lead the 'senior creator economy' in the rapidly growing silver economy market. Gymwalk, a personalized fitness app, implements its AI-based personalization technology with greater sophistication. It analyzes workout goals, physical conditions, etc., to provide optimized exercise programs and real-time intensity adjustment features, and with over 200,000 cumulative users, it is accelerating its penetration into the global market. As such, the startups selected for TIPS are expected to present innovative solutions based on AI and deep tech in their respective fields, and create new standards in both domestic and international markets.
