The Invention Lab Secures 18 TIPS and 22 LIPS Selections for 2025

The Invention Lab, an institution specializing in fostering early-stage startups, discovered and recommended a total of 40 promising companies throughout 2025 through its innovation technology-based TIPS and brand-centric LIPS programs, thereby demonstrating its unique investment and incubation expertise encompassing both technology and brand aspects. In the TIPS sector, 18 startups were recommended, with high evaluations for their technological capabilities and market potential across bio, AI, and fintech. These included Dermare, a deep tech manufacturer of seaweed-based PDRN; Urban Datalab, an AI pathology diagnostic solution poised for global expansion; AI-based HRD (Achieve Moment); K-beauty clinical data (The K Company); and Southeast Asian securities trading (Defysoft). In the LIPS sector, 22 entrepreneurial small business owners were selected, and their growth potential based on brand and lifestyle was noted. These included Cheongnyeon Hanwoo, a franchise specializing in 2nd-3rd grade Hanwoo beef; Yaholab, a premium kindergarten in Vietnam; Pet Bom, a pet care service; Rosh Korea, providing senior cultural education; and SPBT, an F&B franchise builder. The Invention Lab stated that beyond mere recommendations, it supports practical growth through investment, acceleration, and open innovation linkages, and focuses on maximizing the potential of companies by making the startup teams' execution capabilities and clear growth strategies key selection criteria. In the upcoming year 2026, The Invention Lab plans to introduce a 'Startup Studio System' for the specialized incubation of AI agent technology startups and lifestyle brand startups in sectors like fashion, beauty, and food. In conjunction with its TIPS and LIPS recommendation strategies, it will focus on global expansion, including entry into Southeast Asian hubs. Additionally, through the establishment of a base office in Busan, it plans to actively engage in discovering regionally specialized early-stage startups.
