Thailand's largest food company, CPF, is leading innovation in the global livestock industry by adopting the AI-based smart poultry farming solution from Korean startup PipeTree. CPF is a key subsidiary of Thailand's CP Group and a global food company directly operating in 17 countries, exporting over 60% of its annual production. Applying an AI solution to such a mega-scale production facility is expected to be a significant milestone in the digital transformation of the livestock sector.
PipeTree's AI technology innovates complex poultry production environments. By implementing real-time environmental data collection, sophisticated disease management, and automated shipment prediction functions tailored to local conditions, it is expected to maximize the efficiency and productivity of existing operational methods.
Beginning with this initial adoption, the two companies will conduct joint research and development (R&D) over the next year, optimized for CPF's local production environment in Thailand. Subsequently, there are plans to progressively expand the application of the solution to CPF's more than 1,200 farms, and even extend its scope to CPF Senior Executive Vice President Surachate Pingklao's personal farm and duck farms, to demonstrate the scalability and reliability of PipeTree's technology.
Beyond Thailand, PipeTree has gained recognition for its technological prowess through collaborations with leading Asian companies such as Taiwan's Dachun and Japan's Freefoods. This collaboration with CPF is expected to be a significant opportunity for PipeTree to expand its technological scope beyond regional units to national-level agricultural platforms.
CPF Senior Executive Vice President Surachate Pingklao emphasized that "data-driven integrated production management technology is essential for global market leadership." PipeTree CEO Jang Yoo-chang stated, "This project goes beyond merely supplying a solution; it's the first instance of co-designing the standardization of production structures with global food companies," underscoring that AI-centric digital transformation has ushered in a new era for livestock operating methods.
Through this collaboration, PipeTree is poised to lead the innovation model for the global livestock supply chain and has laid the groundwork to firmly establish itself as a key technology partner for world-leading food conglomerates.
