Superb AI Sweeps Hanwha Systems AI Challenge Twice in a Row

Superb AI, a leader in the vision AI field, showcased overwhelming technological prowess at the 'Hanwha Systems AI Challenge,' achieving the remarkable feat of winning for two consecutive years. This result demonstrated Superb AI's unique capabilities in a highly challenging mission that required accurate object detection in an infrared camera environment and even model lightweighting. Following researcher Lim Eun-soo in 2024, the team of researchers Kim Seung-hyun and Go Gyeong-ryeol once again reached the top in 2025, proving Superb AI's continuous innovative DNA. Overcoming the limitations of infrared (IR) data, which is extremely difficult to acquire unlike general RGB images, was particularly central to this challenge. Superb AI broke through this challenge with its innovative generative AI technology. Utilizing technology that automatically converts general RGB photos into infrared form and technology where AI itself generates necessary infrared images solely from image description text, they efficiently built large-scale infrared training data that was previously difficult to acquire. Furthermore, by adding the 'Pseudo-Labeling' technique, where AI assigns virtual answers to data without correct labels for training, and data augmentation technology that allows the model to operate accurately in various environments, they maximized the detection accuracy and robustness of the AI model. These consecutive awards highlight Superb AI's AI data platform technology, which maximizes the efficiency of the entire AI model development process, and its generative AI technology, which has the infinite potential to lead the future, serving as an important milestone in introducing these to the world. Its research achievements have already been presented at a workshop of the 2025 IEEE ICRA conference, garnering global attention.
