Superb AI Joins K-Humanoid Alliance, Spearheading Visual Intelligence

Superb AI, a leading vision AI company, has joined the 'K-Humanoid Alliance,' which will lead the future of humanoids in South Korea, drawing significant attention from the industry. As a core player in this alliance, Superb AI will be responsible for developing 'visual intelligence,' which acts as the eyes of humanoids, and 'physical AI,' which governs their actual actions, and will spearhead next-generation humanoid technology innovation. The 'K-Humanoid Alliance,' ambitiously launched by the government in April 2025, harbors the vision of elevating South Korea into one of the top three global humanoid powerhouses by 2030. Top-tier domestic research institutions such as Seoul National University, KAIST, Yonsei University, and POSTECH, along with major corporations like Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, SK, and POSCO, have all converged. The government has pledged a total investment of 2 trillion KRW towards this ambitious goal. This strong public-private collaboration is expected to significantly boost South Korea's competitiveness in the humanoid industry. Superb AI's core asset is its independently developed vision foundation model, 'ZERO'. This innovative model can be immediately applied in the field using only text or image prompts, without the need for additional training. Having completed its training with a vast dataset of 900,000 items, its performance was proven by securing second place in the CVPR 2025 challenge, a global vision AI conference. 'ZERO' will provide essential foundational technology for humanoids to perform advanced autonomous tasks, such as accurately recognizing objects, analyzing complex movements, and overseeing safety. Furthermore, Superb AI drives the humanoid AI development ecosystem through 'Superb Platform,' an MLOps solution that encompasses the entire AI development process. This platform, which supports the full lifecycle from data labeling to model training and deployment, has been chosen by 100 global companies including Samsung, LG Electronics, Hyundai Motor Company, Qualcomm, SK Telecom, Toyota, and Nippon Steel, thereby affirming its practicality and stability. Based on this technological prowess, Superb AI is also participating in the Ministry of Science and ICT's 'AI Foundation Model' development project, where it is responsible for designing and building data foundations for vision language models and multimodal/physical AI within the LG AI Research consortium, once again demonstrating its capabilities. It garnered attention as the only company outside of LG affiliates to take on the crucial role of AI model development. Since its establishment in 2018, Superb AI has successfully entered the South Korean, US, and Japanese markets. It holds 31 AI technology patents and boasts US SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. To date, it has attracted a total of 49 billion KRW in investment, continuing its robust growth.
