In the heart of global cybersecurity, at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, USA, Sens_ton (global headquarters swIDch), an innovative authentication security specialist from Korea, achieved brilliant results. Sens_ton proudly secured its place as a promising company poised to lead the future of PLC security in the prestigious '2025 Global InfoSec Awards'.
The Global InfoSec Awards, now in its 13th year, is truly the premier awards ceremony in the information security field, held annually at the RSA Conference, the largest event in the cybersecurity industry. The judging panel, comprised of certified security experts including CISSPs, US Department of Homeland Security specialists, and CEH certification holders, focuses on identifying companies with the potential to go beyond existing technologies to innovatively respond to future cyber threats and pioneer new markets. Given that major players like Ping Identity, Zimperium (acquired for KRW 764 billion), and Sangfor Technologies (annual sales of KRW 500 billion) have previously received these accolades, Sens_ton's award this time is regarded as a powerful signal affirming its potential.
Sens_ton's core technology is embedded in its 'PLC OTAC' and 'OTAC Trusted Access Gateway (TAG)' solutions. This represents an innovative approach that utilizes unique One-Time Dynamic Authentication Code (OTAC) technology, which operates even in one-way networks, to eradicate critical authentication vulnerabilities while preserving existing industrial control system (PLC) infrastructure. This fundamental problem-solving capability was highly praised by the judging panel.
Gary Miliefsky, Chairman of the Global InfoSec Awards, highly lauded Sens_ton for demonstrating outstanding innovation in three key areas: "future threat awareness, cost-effective solution implementation, and innovative response methods."
In particular, Sens_ton is accelerating its market penetration by recently introducing the 'OTAC Trusted Access Gateway', which enhances endpoint authentication security in existing OT infrastructure without the need for assistance from PLC manufacturers. It has already successfully completed field tests with numerous domestic and international organizations and companies and is now entering the stage of actual deployment in industrial sites, proving both its technological prowess and practicality.
Yoo Chang-hoon, CEO of Sens_ton and swIDch, expressed his ambition, stating that this award "has laid the groundwork for actively advancing into the European OT security market, where companies are seeking alternatives due to the strengthening of NIS2 directives." He emphasized, "With Sens_ton's unique OT authentication security solution, which is the only one to satisfy the IEC 62443 'identification and authentication' requirements at the endpoint level, accounting for over 62% of OT attacks, we will strengthen the security of key industries and elevate South Korea's security technology status globally." Sens_ton's award is a symbolic event foreshadowing that Korea's advanced security technology will open new horizons in the global OT security market.
