Selectstar Named Top Startup in Samsung Life C-Lab Outside

Selectstar, a company specializing in AI data and reliability verification, has solidified its position as a leading innovator in financial AI by being selected as Samsung Life's 'Outstanding Startup' at '2025 Samsung Financial C-Lab Outside'. This prestigious program, co-hosted by Samsung Financial Networks and Samsung Venture Investment, is in its 6th year, and out of 368 applicant teams, after fierce competition, only 16 teams advanced to the main round. Selectstar, after a 5-month in-depth joint Proof of Concept (PoC) project and rigorous evaluation, was named one of the four finally selected outstanding startups. Selectstar, leveraging its 'AI Model Performance and Reliability Enhancement Solution specialized for the financial industry,' successfully built and advanced AI training data using Samsung Life's internal data. In particular, the precise combination of internal information and external data to establish an automated pipeline for generating high-quality analysis-based knowledge data was highly praised. This demonstrated a significant improvement in the pre- and post-training performance of financial-specific LLMs (Large Language Models), firmly showcasing the potential of AI models applicable to real financial services. Kim Se-yeop, CEO of Selectstar, stated, "In an era where AI is becoming a core infrastructure in the financial industry, the technology ensuring data quality and reliability is growing increasingly important." With this selection as an outstanding startup, Selectstar received a prize of 10 million won, along with opportunities for follow-up collaboration and investment review with Samsung financial affiliates, laying a strong foundation for future growth. Meanwhile, Selectstar, as part of the SK Telecom consortium, has also been selected as an elite team for the government-led 'Independent AI Foundation Model Development Project,' further solidifying its position in the domestic AI sector. At the 'SK AI Summit 2025' to be held at COEX, Seoul, on November 3-4, attendees will have the opportunity to experience Selectstar's AI reliability verification solution, 'Datumo Eval', firsthand.
