Sanha Information Technology, a member company of Yanolja, Innovates Travel Accessibility with the Unveiling of 'Barrier-Free' Smart Kiosk for Everyone Sanha Information Technology, a key member company of Yanolja, has unveiled a barrier-free version of its ‘Wings Smart Kiosk,’ which aims to provide convenience for all travelers, thereby opening a new chapter in the travel industry. In addition to the fast and convenient services offered by existing kiosks, its distinguishing feature is the dramatic enhancement of accessibility by breaking down physical and institutional barriers, ensuring that anyone can use facilities without discomfort. Actively incorporating the ‘barrier-free’ concept, Sanha Information Technology has equipped the Wings Smart Kiosk with various assistive features. These include a braille keypad, magnifier, and high-contrast screen functions for the visually impaired, as well as voice guidance via an earphone jack to enhance usability for the hearing impaired. Furthermore, it offers a mode to lower the screen height for easy access by wheelchair users, showcasing meticulous consideration for all travelers. The ‘Wings Smart Kiosk’ has already received positive reviews for simplifying and expediting guest check-in, check-out, and reservation procedures through its non-face-to-face services. It automatically reads identification cards and verifies reservation information using an AI-based facial recognition solution, and supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese, to enhance convenience for international guests. This system has contributed to reducing the operational burden on accommodation providers and maximizing management efficiency by automatically issuing room keys after reservation confirmation. This innovation is a proactive response to the revised enforcement decree of the Disability Discrimination Act, which will become fully mandatory next year. Sanha Information Technology began sequentially installing smart kiosk products that faithfully reflect government guidelines starting on the 12th of this month, and plans to support all travel businesses in complying with relevant regulations and stably operating barrier-free kiosks by next month. Particularly, businesses already utilizing the Wings Smart Kiosk, which is integrated with Yanolja's Hotel Management System (PMS) and Channel Management System (CMS), can easily apply barrier-free features simply by adding hardware attachments and updating software. This allows for the creation of an accessible environment without needing new purchases and is expected to significantly lower the entry barrier for installation. Chun Kyung-hoon, co-CEO of Sanha Information Technology, stated, “The barrier-free kiosk is the result of integrating AI technology to enable all travelers to enjoy convenient travel, while also allowing anyone to easily operate a hotel.” He emphasized, “Yanolja and Sanha Information Technology will continue to lead the digital transformation and ecosystem innovation across the travel industry through technology.” The introduction of this barrier-free kiosk goes beyond mere technological advancement, marking an important step toward creating inclusive travel experiences that everyone can enjoy together.
