Good news has arrived for citizens who were missing out on government support benefits. Samjumsam, operated by tax service company Zavis & Villains, has garnered an explosive response, attracting over 740,000 users in just a month and a half since the launch of its 'Government Support Fund Finder' service last February. This innovative service allows users to identify various policy support funds from both the central government and local autonomous bodies, which were previously scattered and complex, at a glance with just a single simple authentication. It recommends personalized support funds based on individual circumstances such as occupation, income, household type, and presence of children, and kindly guides users through detailed information and application methods, helping citizens easily find the benefits that suit them. In particular, it meticulously supports users by providing real-time notifications for application deadlines and newly introduced support fund information, ensuring they don't miss important opportunities. Currently, there is strong interest among users in various support funds such as the 'Earned Income Tax Credit', 'K-Pass', and 'Energy Cashback'. Samjumsam stated that it plans to continuously expand its personalized government support fund recommendation services by life stage (e.g., newlywed, childbirth, childcare), and additionally provide policy fund services for small business owners. This service is available for free on the Samjumsam app, and it maximizes user convenience by allowing users to also check for hidden refunds such as comprehensive income tax refunds, hospital fees, or dormant deposits. Lee Jun-ho, PM at Zavis & Villains, who planned and operates the service, stated, "We will do our best to strengthen the service by leveraging Samjumsam's data and technological prowess to recommend more refined policy support funds to individual customers and to ensure that useful rights in real life can be easily and conveniently enjoyed." Meanwhile, Zavis & Villains, which started with the B2B service 'Zavis' in 2015, has grown rapidly since launching its tax filing and refund assistance service 'Samjumsam' in May 2020. As of May 2024, it has surpassed 21 million cumulative subscribers and exceeded 1 trillion won in cumulative declared refunds, solidifying its position as a leading tax innovation company in Korea, having been selected as a 'Preliminary Unicorn' by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups in 2023.
