Redbrick, a leader in AI-based game development, has been ultimately selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' '2025 Technology Innovation Development Project (Export-Oriented)', proving the global competitiveness of K-AI technology. Its plan to develop an LLM (Large Language Model)-based Text-to-Game editor, which will open new horizons in next-generation game production, received high praise, enabling it to accelerate its push into the global market. This national project, which encourages the scale-up and global market entry of SMEs through company-led R&D, will be promoted with a total scale of 2.46 billion KRW (1.6 billion KRW in government support). This innovative project centers on groundbreaking AI technology that allows users to automatically generate games within 5 minutes using only natural language text input. This dramatically lowers the barrier to game development, ushering in an era where anyone can be a creator, and holds the potential to explosively expand a creator-centric ecosystem. Global tech startup Redbrick is already innovating game production productivity using LLM technology across various business areas, including the AI-based game studio 'Redbrick', the STEM education service 'Redbrick Class', and the web game platform 'Breeky'. Its technological prowess is already shining in the global market, with over 70% of its 7.5 million cumulative users as of last month being international, evidencing its overwhelming growth potential in overseas markets. Redbrick announced its ambition to leverage this R&D as a stepping stone to fully enter the Middle East (MENA) and Southeast Asian markets, and to establish a new standard for global content creation with its AI game development technology. Co-founder Lee Gwang-yong stated, "This selection is a recognition of Redbrick's technological capabilities and global scalability simultaneously," emphasizing, "We will usher in an era where anyone can easily create games with AI, and furthermore, lead Korea to become a key player in pioneering the AI game development field." Notably, Redbrick has achieved a series of successes in the Middle East market, including being selected for the UAE sovereign wealth fund's Hub71 in 2025, establishing an Abu Dhabi corporation, and most recently, being selected for the Google for Startups Accelerator: AI, reconfirming its AI technological prowess and rapid growth both domestically and internationally.
