Good news has arrived for dental clinics suffering from chronic staffing shortages. Chikruiting, a specialized dental job search platform, has officially launched an innovative 'Interview Proposal Service' that goes beyond passive recruitment methods, allowing hospitals and clinics to actively seek out talent. This opens a new chapter in resolving staffing shortages.
According to a survey by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the employment rate of dental hygienists in medical institutions is only 52.3%, with the rate in dental clinics being even more severe at 45.8%. Furthermore, a high turnover rate of 27.4% (compared to the average 14.8% for general workers) exacerbates a vicious cycle where hospitals and clinics are constantly scrambling to recruit. This reality leads to treatment gaps and decreased service quality, posing significant difficulties for dental practice operations.
Song Eon-ui, CEO of Chikruiting, confronted this reality and emphasized the need for a service where 'hospitals and clinics can directly seek out and reach out to the talent they want,' based on the judgment that 'traditional methods can no longer solve the problem.' This innovation stems from the urgency to establish a more proactive and efficient recruitment environment, moving beyond simple job postings.
The newly introduced 'Interview Proposal Service' is designed to allow hospitals and clinics to set specific conditions such as desired work location, job role, and duties to search for optimal talent, and then finely tune career and salary levels to directly propose interviews. This will be a powerful tool to increase recruitment success rates by proactively identifying customized talent that hospitals and clinics need, instead of waiting for an unspecified number of applicants.
Notably, Chikruiting is linked with 'ChizTalk,' Korea's largest dental hygienist community, boasting a vast pool of 16,000 job seekers. Thanks to this extensive talent pool, hospitals and clinics will have a wider range of choices, and the fact that job postings are free is also expected to significantly alleviate the burden on dental practices.
CEO Song pledged, "Just as we have received an enthusiastic response in a short period, we will actively support this service to play a decisive role in genuinely resolving the dental staffing shortage and establishing a stable treatment environment." Now, the paradigm of dental staffing recruitment is shifting from 'waiting' to 'proactively seeking out.' Attention is drawn to whether Chikruiting's interview proposal service will resolve the chronic staffing shortage in the dental industry and usher in a new era where both hospitals/clinics and job seekers achieve a win-win.
