Global family entertainment company The Pinkfong Company has partnered with TBS Television, a giant in the Japanese media market, completing its preparations to leap beyond Asia onto the global stage. TBS, one of Japan's five major terrestrial broadcasters, boasts immense influence, having produced hit works such as 'VIVANT' and 'The Full-Time Wife Escapist'. This collaboration will combine The Pinkfong Company's strong intellectual property (IP) with TBS's local production and distribution infrastructure to inject innovative synergy into the kids and family content market. The two companies will cooperate across a wide range of areas, from joint development of new content to distribution, marketing, and various online and offline events, with their first original collaborative content aiming for broadcast in the third quarter of this year. The Pinkfong Company has already established a unique presence in Japan. Its local YouTube channels have recorded 2.45 billion cumulative views and 190 million cumulative viewing hours, and it is currently accelerating business expansion with the recent establishment of a local subsidiary. The company is firmly solidifying its local fandom by achieving tangible results such as a 132% increase in visitors to its kids cafe pop-up stores, 130,000 Pinkfong soundbooks sold in just six months, and the successful staging of a musical performance for 30,000 people. This year, it plans to continue its musical tour in major cities including Tokyo, Chiba, and Kobe. TBS Representative Director Ryukou Masamine emphasized that this collaboration perfectly aligns with TBS's next-generation strategy for global expansion. The Pinkfong Company CEO Kim Min-seok also expressed expectations for strengthening the influence of K-content, stating that it will be an important milestone for global business expansion beyond Japan. The meeting between The Pinkfong Company, which provides content in 244 regions and 25 languages based on world-renowned IPs such as 'Pinkfong', 'Baby Shark', and 'Bebefinn', and the Japanese media giant is expected to open a new chapter in Korea-Japan content cooperation and further accelerate the global K-content era.
