Personalized eyewear brand BREEZM announced its nationwide leap by opening its 13th domestic store and first outside the Seoul metropolitan area, the 'Busan Centum Branch'. The Busan Centum Branch, which opened on the 31st of last month, is located in the Trump World Centum commercial complex in Haeundae-gu, within the core commercial district near Centum City Station, and is expected to significantly improve accessibility for customers in Busan and the Gyeongsang region.
BREEZM utilizes cutting-edge technology such as 3D face scanning, big data-based AI design recommendations, 12-step in-depth eye exams, and 3D printing custom manufacturing, to provide eyeglasses perfectly optimized for an individual's face shape and eyesight. This resolves the discomfort of off-the-shelf glasses and offers unique value, having already proven its capabilities in the global market by opening a store in New York, USA, last April.
Unlike existing BREEZM stores, which were often located on the second floor, basement, or side streets, the Busan Centum Branch boldly positioned itself on the first floor of a main street with abundant foot traffic. This is part of an aggressive strategy to significantly increase customer touchpoints, based on the product quality and know-how accumulated since its 2018 launch, having secured over 65,000 customers.
BREEZM CEO Park Hyung-jin stated, "Thanks to the support of numerous regional customers who visited our Seoul metropolitan area-focused stores by KTX or personal car, we were able to accelerate our expansion into regional areas." He emphasized that starting with Busan, they plan to continue expanding into major hub cities like Daejeon and Daegu in the future, to provide more customers with BREEZM's unique personalized experience.
Meanwhile, BREEZM recorded sales of approximately 10.8 billion won last year, demonstrating a remarkable 52.5% growth compared to the previous year. This is the highest performance in the brand's history, and it is expected to continue solid growth through new store expansion and high repurchase rates.
