Nota, a company specializing in AI light-weighting and optimization, successfully listed on the KOSDAQ market on the 3rd, embarking on a challenge towards its goal of turning profitable by 2027. Nota's movements are drawing attention, having been recognized for its technological prowess through collaborations with global big tech companies such as NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics, and Qualcomm.
Established in 2015, Nota demonstrated its technological potential early on by attracting investment from major domestic companies including Naver D2SF, Samsung, LG, and Kakao. This KOSDAQ listing served as an opportunity to officially confirm the market growth potential of AI light-weighting and optimization technology.
Nota's core competitiveness lies in its independently developed AI model optimization platform 'NetsPresso' and on-device AI solutions. Amid the recent spread of high-performance AI models, which increases the burden of AI adoption and operating costs for businesses, Nota's light-weighting and optimization technology is gaining global attention as a key solution for cost reduction.
Notably, Nota is achieving technological advancement through close collaborations with global semiconductor and device companies such as NVIDIA, Samsung Electronics, Qualcomm, Arm, and Sony. As physical AI fields like autonomous driving and robotics grow, Nota's technology plays an increasingly essential role, and its innovativeness has been recognized to the extent of being selected for CB Insights' '2025 Global Innovative AI Startups 100'.
Furthermore, Nota is continuously expanding the applicability of AI in various industrial sectors such as industrial safety, transportation, selective monitoring, and retail by applying its generative AI-based video surveillance solution 'Nota Vision Agent (NVA)' to on-device environments.
Following its listing, Nota plans to focus on strengthening its AI optimization technology competitiveness and expanding the application market for edge AI technology. It plans to solidify its market position through active sales and marketing targeting global semiconductor companies and device manufacturers in key markets such as the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, and will also heavily invest in developing a next-generation platform capable of optimizing an even wider range of AI models. Particularly, through strategic collaborations with leading global embedded companies, Nota expects to expand its technological market share and increase sales in high-growth industries such as defense and aerospace.
Financially, Nota is also showing rapid growth, having secured Fortune Global 500 companies as its major clients. Revenue more than doubled from 3.6 billion won in 2023 to 8.4 billion won in 2024, with a target of achieving 14.5 billion won in 2025 and an ambition to reach profitability by 2027.
Chae Myung-su, CEO of Nota, emphasized, "This IPO is not merely about fundraising but a crucial strategic decision to gain the trust of the global market and lay the groundwork for greater growth," adding, "We will lead innovation across all industries through AI optimization technology and realize the vision of 'AI Everywhere' where AI can be utilized in various industries without environmental constraints."
