Global drone AI leader Neos Lab's high-speed AI autonomous defense drone, 'KAiDEN,' has globally proven its technological standing by winning the Silver award in the Autonomous Security Solutions category at the 2025 Edison Awards. Established in 1987 to honor the achievements of inventor Thomas Edison, the Edison Awards is an internationally prestigious innovation award where over 7,000 innovative products are submitted annually and undergo in-depth evaluation by a panel of expert judges for approximately seven months. At the recent awards ceremony held in Florida, USA, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang also received a Lifetime Achievement Award, drawing significant attention from the industry. KAiDEN, developed by Neos Lab with its proprietary technology, is an advanced defense system that detects and tracks threatening drones approaching military facilities and key security areas in real-time, neutralizing them in mid-air. This drone boasts exceptional capabilities, equipped with an AI autonomous flight algorithm that predicts target trajectories in real-time, enabling precise strikes at high speeds of up to 250 km/h. Notably, KAiDEN can be deployed in conjunction with a launcher system, allowing multiple units to be launched simultaneously, and enables cooperative tactical operations to precisely track targets using swarm flight technology. Furthermore, it features a safety function that prevents secondary damage from falling debris by pre-setting collision-safe zones, enhancing the system's completeness. Industry experts evaluate KAiDEN's hardware design, which combines excellent operationality and cost-effectiveness, as suitable for mass production, and anticipate its expansion into a wide range of security fields, including defense industries, as well as airports, power plants, and major public institutions. Choi Jae-hyuk, CEO of Neos Lab, stated, "In this era where various drone threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, building a defense system utilizing AI and drones has emerged as an essential task. As KAiDEN's integrated operational capabilities and technological completeness have been authoritatively recognized on the global stage through this Edison Award, we will continue to lead the next generation of smart defense systems through continuous technological innovation."
