Naver's 'Naver Plus Store,' launched into the e-commerce market, has achieved remarkable success, establishing itself as a new game-changer faster than expected, entering the top 8 in the domestic shopping app rankings within approximately one year of its launch. According to the IGAWorks Mobile Index report, Naver Plus Store secured 4.43 million users as of April, recording an 11.05% market share in the overall shopping app market, surpassing GS SHOP by a narrow margin and settling in the top ranks. Particularly noteworthy is the explosive influx of new users. It achieved hyper-growth at one point, with weekly new installations reaching 1.36 million. Even after entering a stabilization phase, it consistently maintains a high influx rate. The user base showed a distribution of 60% female and 40% male, with users in their 30s and 40s forming the core user group and showing active engagement. The influx of users from competing apps was also prominent. In April alone, a total of 2.43 million people migrated to Naver Plus Store, not only from existing domestic shopping apps like Coupang, 11st, and Gmarket, but also from overseas direct purchase apps like AliExpress and Temu, proving its strong pulling power. In terms of user retention, it also showed excellent competitiveness. It recorded an 8-week revisit rate of 44.57%, ranking second after Coupang (52.47%), demonstrating high retention rates that significantly surpassed major competitor apps like 11st, Temu, and Gmarket. This suggests high service satisfaction and user loyalty for Naver Plus Store. However, the average daily usage per person (7.41 days) and average usage time (0.55 hours) remained lower compared to Coupang (16.14 days, 2.06 hours), indicating that increasing in-app dwell time and usage intensity remains a challenge for the future. Nevertheless, the strong synergy with Naver Pay is positive. Since the launch of Naver Plus Store, the number of monthly Naver Pay users has steadily increased, and with cross-users between the two services reaching 1.16 million, synergy within the Naver ecosystem is clearly manifesting. These achievements, revealed through IGAWorks' AI-based analysis, clearly demonstrate that Naver Plus Store is rapidly emerging as a key driver transforming the landscape of the e-commerce market, moving beyond being a mere shopping channel and leveraging Naver's strong platform competitiveness.
