Edutech startup Nautilus has finally launched 'Ttokseo,' a subscription-based reading service designed to make children's reading habits feel like a fun game. Living up to its slogan, "The moment reading becomes play, smart reading habits," 'Ttokseo' boasts an innovative system that helps children voluntarily seek out books and read them consistently. The core of the service is its 'Experience Point (XP)' based reward system. XP, which steadily accumulates with each book read, provides children with a definite sense of accomplishment and a powerful motivation to continue reading. In a private beta test, 80% of participating parents responded that this XP feature significantly increased their children's desire to read, and its effectiveness was proven to the extent that half of them rated it as 'a very strong motivator.' An affordable pricing policy is also a major strength of 'Ttokseo.' At a low cost of around 5,000 won per month, the first month can be used for just 100 won, significantly reducing the financial burden of education for parents. The ability to enjoy unlimited access to over 1,500 carefully selected essential books, ranging from popular educational comics like and series to elementary school curriculum-linked books, is also attractive. 90% of CBT participants rated the price as 'affordable,' and half as 'very affordable,' expressing their satisfaction. Lee Seong-eop, CEO of Nautilus, stated, "Reading experiences in childhood become a lifelong asset that changes a child's life," and "Ttokseo focused on incorporating elements that stimulate interest so children can become familiar with books." He also expressed his ambition, "By securing a large number of excellent children's books, including those awarded the 'Bologna Ragazzi Award,' we will grow into a platform that not only fosters children's reading habits but also contributes to the global expansion of Korean children's content."
