TR, a company specializing in the development of AI-based pulmonary function testing devices, is attracting industry attention by recording explosive growth, buoyed by recent government policy changes.
As the Ministry of Health and Welfare officially decided on September 18 to add pulmonary function tests to the national health check-up items for citizens aged 56 and 66 starting in 2026, TR's sales consultation cases in September alone surged by a whopping 10 times compared to the previous month. Currently, active discussions are underway with approximately 200 hospitals, and consultation requests are expanding to all medical institutions, from newly opened clinics to large health check-up centers and university hospital health check-up centers.
TR's flagship product, the AI pulmonary function testing device 'The Spirokit,' is an innovative solution that uses AI to automatically and precisely analyze test results based on data. In particular, it offers the ability to measure the pre-stage of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Pre-COPD), thereby contributing to early diagnosis and prevention. Furthermore, it is evaluated as a next-generation device that considers user convenience, supporting various bronchial provocation tests and featuring multilingual capabilities.
Capitalizing on this momentum, TR has set an ambitious goal to supply The Spirokit to approximately 1,000 hospitals nationwide by 2026 and to raise its sales target to 5 billion won. Furthermore, it is actively exploring ways to reduce the burden of equipment introduction for clinic-level medical institutions, demonstrating a strong commitment to market expansion.
CEO Kim Byung-soo stated, "We will continuously improve The Spirokit to provide the best product." He added that export consultations with Vietnam and Indonesia are progressing smoothly, and exports to Thailand are also imminent, further raising expectations for its potential in the global market.
Meanwhile, TR received an innovation award at KHF2025 on September 17, recognizing its technological prowess. Its target sales for 2025 are projected to reach 1.5 billion won. Coupled with government policy changes, the future of TR, armed with innovative technology, is drawing even more attention.
