An innovative attempt set to change the future of the agri-food industry has begun. MYSC (MY Social Company) has embarked on a grand journey for the '2025 Agri-Food Technology Startup Accelerator Support Program,' also known as '2025 EMA-AGRIFOOD,' alongside 13 promising startups. At the orientation held on April 29th, representatives from the hosting organization, operating organization, and the selected companies gathered to signal a new leap forward. The core of this program, hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, organized by the Korea Agricultural Technology Promotion Agency, and operated by MYSC, is the B.I.G strategy. Its essence lies in fundraising through Blended finance, business advancement pursuing Impact (social and environmental impact), and customized support aimed at Global market expansion. The 13 companies selected this time each possess a distinct innovation DNA. Key players set to open new horizons in the agricultural and food industries have been listed, including 'Dosigokgan,' a premium side dish curation shop; 'Rovcol,' which upcycles agricultural products facing disposal; 'StockKeeper,' for Hanwoo farm investment; 'Berryzen,' for wild strawberry variety development; 'Earth Foam,' for mushroom mycelium packaging development; and 'Enbiosell,' for sleep quality improvement food. Also drawing attention are 'SignalCare,' which develops global green bio agri-industry materials; 'Aofarm,' for automated agricultural product quality inspection; 'The Great Showman,' for care snack development; 'Eat the Company,' for local food storytelling; and 'Freshious,' for extending the shelf-life of agricultural products. Over the next approximately 8 months, the selected companies will receive comprehensive support, including capacity-building training, customized consulting, and networking opportunities, as well as diversified fundraising through blended finance and business advancement focused on solving social and environmental problems. In particular, in addition to opportunities to explore major overseas agri-food hubs such as France, Japan, and Thailand, excellent teams will receive additional prizes based on the results of final evaluations, including demo days. MYSC researcher Ha Song-hee expressed the ambition to "contribute to the long-term growth of the entire agri-food startup ecosystem through the B.I.G strategy, identifying ourselves as ecosystem builders," raising expectations that this program will infuse new vitality into the agri-food startup ecosystem.
