Myrealtrip continues its rapid ascent, setting a monumental record of 217.1 billion won in monthly transaction volume in July this year. This is the highest since the company's establishment, proving a steep growth trajectory after surpassing 100 billion won in monthly transaction volume in 2023. Having first exceeded the 200 billion won mark last month, it has set a new record again in just one month.
The cumulative transaction volume from January to July this year reached 1.3 trillion won, an increase of 42% compared to the same period last year, and if this trend continues, achieving 2.6 trillion won by year-end is expected to be straightforward.
This growth was evenly observed across all business sectors, including flights, accommodations, tours & activities, and 'My Pack', a combined free & package product. In particular, the tours & activities sector drove growth, with both transaction volume and revenue surging by over 40%. The flights sector recorded a monthly transaction volume of 120 billion won, and the accommodation sector also grew by over 50% compared to January, exceeding 35 billion won per month.
The company analyzed that innovative service improvements, such as AI-based personalized itinerary recommendations, simplified booking processes, and automated customer responses, were effective. Concurrently, monthly operating profit is also recording a high level, significantly improved compared to the past.
CEO Lee Dong-geon emphasized that this achievement is a result of Myrealtrip's strategy of connecting customers and partners being successfully proven in the market, and stated that the company will continue to pursue technological and service innovation. In the second half of the year, the company aims to further enhance global competitiveness through strengthening personalized services and brand campaigns, targeting an annual transaction volume of 3 trillion won. Recently, Myrealtrip has been diversifying its service areas, including expanding its global low-cost carrier flight booking service and beta launching 'Local Helper', a real-time guide matching service, thus laying the groundwork for further growth.
