Mocoplex has ushered in a new era of digital inclusion by officially launching 'Quro Barrier-Free Kiosk,' an innovative solution that provides convenience to all customers.
The newly introduced Quro Barrier-Free Kiosk has been meticulously designed to allow digitally vulnerable groups, including the visually impaired, seniors, and wheelchair users, to easily and conveniently place orders in stores. It is equipped with a variety of functions such as a directional keypad, intuitive voice guidance, high-contrast and magnification modes to reduce eye strain, and a low-stance mode that even wheelchair users can comfortably use, thereby enhancing accessibility for everyone.
Particularly, the most welcome news for store owners is that all barrier-free functions can be implemented simply by updating to the 'Quro Barrier-Free dedicated software,' without needing to replace their existing kiosks. This will be a practical solution that helps them comply with the Disability Discrimination Act and welcome more customers, all without unnecessary cost burdens.
To prove that these efforts are not mere slogans, Mocoplex is proceeding with certifications from credible institutions. Currently, it is undergoing strict accessibility evaluation certification from the Korea Center for Accessibility Assessment and Research (KCAAR), and in the second half of the year, it plans to complete certification from the Korea National Information Society Agency (NIA) under the Ministry of Science and ICT. Furthermore, considering that tablet-based table order systems are also subject to the Disability Discrimination Act, Mocoplex has further broadened the scope of accessibility by providing a free QR order system that utilizes smartphones owned by persons with disabilities.
Mocoplex CEO Park Nara stated that "creating an environment where everyone can use stores without inconvenience is both a responsibility of our era and a fundamental principle," and expressed her ambition, saying, "We will do our best to ensure store owners can comply with the Disability Discrimination Act at reasonable costs and realize social value."
This launch of the Quro Barrier-Free Kiosk is an extension of Mocoplex's flagship service, 'Quro Biz,' which supports the successful operation and brand expansion of franchises. Providing a variety of integrated solutions such as QR code-based table ordering, AI-based automated marketing, franchisee customer management, and website/app creation, 'Quro Biz' has now come to encompass an 'inclusive store environment for everyone.' Mocoplex creates social value through technology and is building a future where everyone can conveniently communicate and consume.
